BIO: Between the ages of 0-6, Brent Fillmore grew up in Utah, California, Japan, New York, and Virginia. He attended BYU and SLCC prior to his service as a missionary in the Brasil Porto Alegre mission (1985-86). He studied Political Science and International Relations at the University of Utah graduating in 1990. His M.Ed. degree from Utah State is in Secondary Education and Supervision of Teaching. Since 1992, he has enjoyed teaching students in seminaries and institutes in the Salt Lake area, Blacksburg, Virginia and Logan, Utah. He spent 8 years working for Seminaries and Institutes of Religion at Church Headquarters (Training, Communications, and Administration). He has served the Church as a young men leader, high councilor, bishop (twice), stake presidency councilor, and mission president in the Portugal Lisbon Mission (2018-2021). The best decision of his life was to be sealed to Joan Woodbury in the Jordan River Temple in March of 1987. They are the parents of six children and ten grandchildren.
